How’s Your Holiday Season Going So Far?

Time for a Check-In

Ah, the holiday season. A time for celebration, connection, and a mountain of cookies that may or may not be turning into a situation. While we all look forward to the joy and cheer, let’s be honest—it's easy to get caught up in the overeating, over-stressing, and, let’s say, “over-indulging” on holiday spirit (aka eggnog).

So, let’s do a little mid-season check-in.

Here’s a quick guide to see where you stand:

Are you:

  • Overeating? Your jeans are suddenly acting like they’ve been replaced by tight leggings… and not in a cute way. Between the endless treats and second helpings, is your stomach wondering why it’s working overtime?

  • Over-stressing? You’ve made enough lists to last through next Christmas, but somehow the to-dos keep multiplying faster than your holiday decorations. Did you just hear your own voice in a panic saying, “It’ll be fine, I just need to get through this week!”?

  • Skipping self-care? Pilates? What’s that again? Did anyone mention hydration... or was that just a dream? You’ve got an extra 20 things on your plate, and none of them include “me time.”

  • Lacking balance? Are you feeling more like a reindeer trying to juggle too many tasks than a merry elf spreading joy?

It's Not Too Late for a Reset

If any of this sounds familiar, don’t panic (and don’t skip stretch class for the fourth time). It’s never too late to hit pause and get back to feeling your best. Here’s how to give yourself a little reset without turning into the Grinch:

  • Pause and breathe: Seriously. Take a deep breath. Then take another. You’d be surprised how much this can help.

  • Make time for movement: A quick walk or stretching doesn’t need to be a full-on workout. Just move your body to shake off the holiday chaos—and maybe work off that extra cookie.

  • Choose nourishment: Balance out the treats with fruits, veggies, and lean proteins for a little energy boost.

  • Set boundaries: You don’t have to say yes to every invite, every gift exchange, or every "just one more”. Protect your peace, your schedule and your health like your life depended on it.

  • Sleep: Your body is a limited edition. If you’re not getting enough rest, you’ll be out of stock by New Year’s Eve. Don’t skip the Zzz’s; they’re your best defense against holiday burnout.

So take a breath, take a break and finish this season feeling a little more joyful and a little less frazzled.

Remember to enjoy yourself!
